End Of Year Teacher's Gift - Mrs. Stephens

It's officially the end of another school year and I am always in disbelief at how fast time is flying. Aiden just wrapped up 1st grade and did so well thanks to the guidance of his teacher, Mrs. Stephens. read more

End of Year Teacher's Gift - Mr. Francis

The school year is coming to an end and we decided to get a gift for Aiden's teacher. I read a couple of posts about what teachers ACTUALLY want to receive and the one that stood out most to me was school supplies. This is something that teachers more often than not go out of pocket to purchase year round for their students. And while this may not cover his needs for an entire year, it will help tremendously. In total, everything, costed around $40.00. read more.

Excessive Dry Skin Treatment

Kyle, my youngest, was born the cutest, roundest, little 7lb baby boy ever! Only because Aiden was born 8lbs. :) He was tiny & pink and loved more than anything in that moment. After taking him home from the hospital and upon closer inspection we noticed that our perfect little bundle had small patches of dryness on his legs. read more.

Workout Tips

Being a SAHM its easy to slip into the habit of eating poorly and your only form of exercise being housework. Now while you can get a good sweat in cleaning up after your family, your poor diet choices can and will catch up to you. And just as easy as it is to make bad choices, its just as easy to make good choices. read more.

Organizing Tips

For everything in my life I need some type of schedule, or mock up, or to-do list. I find that I get things done faster and my family doesn't starve. I write everything down from menus for the week, to shopping lists, to cleaning and home school schedules. read more.

Kindergarten Award Ceremony 2016

On Tuesday, March 31st, Aiden had his first award ceremony! He made me SO proud and brought home FIVE awards! Walking into the cafeteria, the students were beginning to march in. Looking out for Aiden, I spotted his teacher, said hi, saw his friends, smiled, but no Aiden. I walked over to Fred wondering if he had seen him, but still no Aiden. After a couple seconds, I looked up on the platform and there he was. In his navy blue H&M blazer, grey pants, grey tie and grey striped shirt from Children's Place, his Chuck Taylor's and a super hero cape alongside four other kids! To say I was surprised would be an understatement. Before the ceremony began, they recited a cute little number about why they were super. read more

Mother's Day Tea 2016

The Thursday before Mother's Day, Aiden's school had their annual Mother's Day Tea. This was my first time attending, and seeing my little sweet face up on stage performing was one of the best feelings in the world. In case you couldn't tell from the video, his class did a rendition of The Temptation's, My Girl. It was the cutest thing ever!  read more

Aiden's 6th Birthday

For Aiden's 6th birthday we decided to not have a party. Aiden didn't know how to react at first but we definitely made it memorable. Cake was something we HAD to have and WWE is his current obsession so decorating his room was the next genius idea. It's really the little things that gets Aiden excited so just being able to wear his "Birthday Boy" button to school was everything! read more

Disney On Ice

I'm still not sure if the boys enjoyed Disney On Ice as much as I did. They featured all of the classics so it was right up my alley. I think the boys loved the cotton candy, popcorn & Mickey Mouse way more than anything else. Oh and Captain Hook. read more

Monster Jam 2015

Earlier this month,we took the boys to Monster Jam! Aiden had an AMAZING time but it took Kyle sometime to warm up to the event. We ended up having to get him ear muffs (highly recommend) and that's when he began to enjoy himself. Food was very
overpriced (chicken fingers and french fries) and didn't taste that great. If you decide to take your kids make sure you carry a snack and a water to avoid over paying for  food. Surprisingly the beer (Heineken) was delish! It was very loud, the trucks were pretty intimidating but the drivers were the coolest  and your kids will love it! read more

Magic Kingdom!

Over the weekend we had a mini vacation with my dad and his new family. We stayed at the Oak Plantation Resort and visited Disney's Magical Kingdom. To say the kids had a blast would be an understatement. read more

Happy Father's Day

This year for Father's Day I wanted the boys to do something really cute and creative. I found an interview template over at Lil Luna and thought it would be an awesome idea to film the boys' answers. read more

Janiyah's 6th Birthday

Janiyah is the daughter of our mutual friend Jerome. Fun fact, Jerome and his now girlfriend Penny (seen in the pics) reconnected at my 25th birthday party after first meeting in kindergarten! They started dating about a month after that.
Janiyah's party was held at the place where "a kid can be a kid", Chukee Cheese! So that meant pizza, soda, cake, candy, games, prizes and of course, pics with Chuckee! read more

Liam's 1st Birthday

Liam is the youngest son of our mutual friends Ann & Dominick!
The party was held at a gorgeous park and was circus monkey theme. Fun right?
The boys had an amazing time of course since they were surrounded by other kids in their age group and could feast on snacks, soda and cupcakes all afternoon. read more

Tax USA Family Fun Day

This past Saturday we took the boys to a family fun-day sponsored by Tax USA, Home Depot, Waste Management and a few other well known names. We got to the event a little bit before three. I was supposed to be a volunteer but they had an overwhelming amount of supporters that they didn't have a job for me! I didn't mind though and focused instead on the boys having fun.read more

Valentine Crayon Hearts

For Valentine's Day Aiden usually sends a Valentine for each of his friends in his class. This year I decided to add a cute heart shaped crayon with each card. I was tagged in a picture on Facebook, and that's where I got the idea from. Now if you google how to make these, the majority of the tutorials require that you have heart shape molds. I didn't have any and was too excited to wait and go get some. So what I did instead was take an old cookie sheet, (which is now dedicated to crafts; If you want you can lay aluminum foil on the bottom of the pan but it probably wont come out as smooth), and my heart shaped cookie cutter. It was super easy and all it really takes is time. read more
