Super Easy Jamaican Carrot Juice
We made steak and potatoes, which were amazing to say the least. But I decided that today was the day that I was finally going to use the can of carrot juice that was sitting int he fridge for months. This is definitely NOT for anyone under the legal drinking age in your country. You will taste less carrot and more alcohol lol but it's SO good. You can of course use carrots and puree them, but this is the Super easy cheat code version! read more
Jamaican Curry Goat
Curry goat is the one thing that Jamaicans HAVE to have at every major event or gathering. It is possible, that something might be inherently wrong with you, if you don't like curry goat. We're having company over for dinner tonight and curry goat is the one thing that is easy enough yet "special" enough to serve to our guests. read more
Breakfast Casserole
Over the weekend I hosted my second brunch. There were four of us in total so I din't go over board with the food. I had guava pastries, fruits, mini chicken and waffles and a breakfast casserole. The mini waffles didn't at all come out how I pictured in my head but I LOVED the casserole. I found the recipe on Pintrest and the next time I do this I'll definitely tweak it a bit. - read more.
Jamaican Cabbage & Corn Beef
Corn beef and cabbage, more appropriately known in Jamaica as "bully beef & cabbage", is one of those super easy one pot meals for those lazy days or when you don't have the time to sit down and cook a big meal. This can be served with dumplins, (boiled or fried), rice, bread or even on its own with a couple slices of avocado. - read more.
Jamaican Cornmeal Porridge
Today for breakfast I made something I haven't made in nearly a year! Fred LOVES cornmeal porridge and has been asking me to make it for the longest time now. As you can tell from the picture its super thick! If you don't want your porridge as thick as mine feel free to add more water.
Banana Fritters
One of the best things about going to the country for weekends and holidays is waking up to the amazing smell of banana fritters peeling out of the kitchen. Today I decided to wake my family up with the familiar fragrance. Especially since we had over ripened bananas. - read more.

Ackee & Saltfish
This morning I made ackee and saltfish for my family for like the hundredth time for breakfast and then I noticed that I never shared how I make it. I don't add too many things that will alter the "true" taste of the food. - read more.
Jamaican Brown Stew Chicken
My Mom's Baked Chicken
Homemade Coleslaw & Stove Top Burgers
Jamaican Chicken Soup
This is literally the easiest thing you'll ever make. And I'll probably say this about everything I post here. Today we're going to Fred's little sister's graduation and I'm doing makeup on two faces on top of everything else so I figured I'll do the one thing I don't have to hover over constantly. And why not write a post about it in the mean time right?
